Patterns are ready! I'm still knitting/blocking - but the above snap will give you an idea of how they look. The cardigan shown is v1. I have change the yoke increases so the yoke should look better in new version.
Please reply to this thread if you are interested.

That sweater is adorable! I don't know what timeline you are looking at - I posted to test one of Elena's patterns, but could test this after...? My baby has a 19" chest...

Jan, these are adorable! Does the blanket have the same shell pattern in it?

Beautiful set! I could test 16" sweater depending on deadline and if my doll model is ok with you. If the deadline is tight, I can do the hat.

Thank you ladies!
I have sent the files.
Jeanie the blanket has a garter border and the shell pattern all over the centre.

ETA Silly me, i forgot i don't have the yarn for the real version yet either. End of November is more realistic isn't it?

I don't know if I'll be able to do the sweater for this deadline. I have three other tests do at the end of the month that I just started. But I can do the hat and booties.

I'll do the blanket. My co teacher just found out she is having a boy. Must make her a little something special.

I've cast on for the medium sized blanket today. Is the deadline the same for the blanket? Nov. 14?

Jeannie - I'd be delighted if you did, but I think you will know if it makes sense by the time you have done the first full pattern repeat as the blanket is quite straightforward really..jkubricht wrote:I've cast on for the medium sized blanket today. That is great, see how you go - even if you get to the cardi later it would be lovely to have more project photos for people to see then.maritere wrote:I don't know if I'll be able to do the sweater for this deadline. I'll do my best to have it done by then. Blankets are usually a slow process for me but I'll work on it exclusively until I get it done. Thanks!JanHarvey wrote:Jeannie - I'd be delighted if you did, but I think you will know if it makes sense by the time you have done the first full pattern repeat as the blanket is quite straightforward really..jkubricht wrote:I've cast on for the medium sized blanket today. Jeannie don't stress about it - to me blankets are like scarfs, neverending - hopefully you will find this one pretty fast with the bigger needles etc.jkubricht wrote:I'll do my best to have it done by then. If you are able to give a yardage estimate at the half-way point that would be brilliant - i guesstimated what it would be on the pattern based on my smaller one.

Re: Simnia Layette - PHOTO added
Jan, my thoughts so far. Each of the "Rows" should be consistent so Rows 1 & 2 as well as Rows 11 & 12 should be either "Rows 1 & 2" and "Rows 11 & 12" or "Rows 1, 2:" and "Rows 11, 12:". I also think that where is says Rows 1 & 2 (WS) should be removed to also for consistency.
Row 3, what about adding in markers for the border stitches?
Those are my only thoughts so far. I hope they make sense. Just finished my first 2 rows of the shells and they look beautiful!

I did toy with the idea of pm and sm for markers, so now a question, which is preferred:
Row 4 (WS): k10 (15, 20), sm, [k5, Sp5tog] repeat to marker, sm, k10 (15, 20).
or
Row 4 (WS): knit to marker, sm, [k5, Sp5tog] repeat to marker, sm, knit to end.
Re: Simnia Layette - PHOTO added
I always prefer the latter. The "knit to marker" one. So far everything else looks great! I know those were only very minor thoughts but it's hard to find something with an almost perfect and straight forward pattern.

Re: Simnia Layette - PHOTO added
A couple WIP pics:
I went down in needle size because I feel like this yarn is more of a sport weight than a dk but it's soft and easy to work with and I think would be just right for a baby blanket. I hope that is ok.

Re: Simnia Layette - PHOTO added
Jeannie that is fine - obviously it may turn out a different size though if your gauge is not 20 sts/4 inches. I'm glad you made it in blue too - i was curious to see how it would look in blue as it is so girly in pink. I love how it looks in the blue!jkubricht wrote:A couple WIP pics:

Re: Simnia Layette - PHOTO added
Jan, my gauge is turning out great. I must be really loosely knitting with this stuff. The length of the blanket is slightly past 30 inches so just a bit bigger than pattern says but I'm ok with that. Yes, doesn't look too girly at all in blue. It's wonderful, actually!

I like the cords that you have on your sample. Which one did you make?
Do you want pictures up or not yet?

Re: Simnia Layette - PHOTO added
Jan, finished hat and almost done with one bootie. Both just fit my 3mo size doll. I'll try and get pictures on here later today.
For the sole Rnd 1, after the second k15, I'm left with only 3 sts to work k2tog, k3. I have 48 per pattern from the previous section.
How would you like me to proceed?
